The wedding is at a summer camp in it’s off season. We have the entire property to ourselves for the whole weekend(including the commercial kitchen, lodge, dining hall, grounds and outdoor spaces), Friday through Sunday afternoon! No matter where you end up staying for the weekend, you are invited to come to the camp and enjoy this wonderful nature retreat in the woods and relax on the grounds and join in on any fun activities we’re doing with our wedding party. There will be no forced bonding, though we will be having group activities like board and tabletop games, campfire pow wows and sing alongs and watching movies and maybe even karaoke in the lodge - people are free and welcome to explore and enjoy quiet private time and play on the entire property for the weekend!

Obviously you can stay whereever you want, but here are some options we’ve researched, 3 of them we have actually held for our guests in advance to book. We’ve organized this list by accommodation type(hotels chains and Inns) and have noted the distance from the wedding venue(Camp Tannadoonah) and the Southbend Intl. Airport, there is an option to stay at the camp as well.  Please note that the wedding is taking place three hours west of where Maya grew up thus we can’t personally vouch for these places(other than the camp option) and have chosen them based on online reviews. Most of the options are in South Bend, Indiana due to the fact that the wedding venue is near the border of Michigan(where the wedding is) and Indiana, but though the wedding venue is just 40 minutes outside of South Bend and the South Bend airport, it is very rural so there aren’t many options super close to the wedding venue other than a Super 8(which we reserved a block of rooms at) with surprisingly good reviews and some Airb&b’s but we do have accommodations on-site at the wedding venue itself for only $15 a night, read the special details below. Staying in South Bend can be a good option for folks who want to be close to the airport and also for folks who want to be a bit more where the “action” is since its a bigger city and a college town, the South Bend Hotel options are near Notre Dame University.

Our on-site accommodation option:
Since the wedding is at a summer camp - we are happy to offer a delightful and unique accommodation option for our guests!
For only $15 a night, you can stay on-site in cabins at the camp! There is a shared bathroom in each cabin, and showers in a centralized bathhouse on the grounds. All beds are single beds, some bunks, some stand alone(and thus you can push them together). There is a “kids and families” group cabin and an “adults only” group cabin. Our cabin rules are this: Cabins are “quiet time places” for sleeping and getting dressed etc., not for socializing so that folks can have a good night’s sleep. Socializing will be in the common areas of the camp(dining hall, the lodge, fire pit circle and ample grounds).
The cabins are clean, dry, cozy, have electricity and are relatively new in construction though rustic but please note that they are not heated -  though you will be provided with a blanket, we recommend packing sleeping layers and traveling with a sleeping bag if you can. This is a good overnight option for our friends who are into camping as this will be several steps up from using a tent and a great way to have a relaxed woodsy retreat for the whole weekend. For an additional $15 flat rate you can also get sheets, a pillow and a blanket - though you can bring your own. To reserve a bunk, please email us to let us know that you would like a bunk, and we'll send you information for how to pay the camp/book your bunk, the deadline for reserving a bunk is October 15th and the bunk reservations are first come, first serve.

Basic cheap chain hotels:

Super 8 by Wyndham Three Rivers - 19 minutes from the wedding, 52 minutes from the South Bend Intl. airport. 689 Super 8 Way, Three Rivers, MI, 49093 - This place is in Three Rivers, which is a tiny town to be honest, BUT we chose it due to the fact that it is only 19 minutes from the wedding venue and had surprisingly decent reviews, it is also near basic amenities like chain eateries and a Meijer(Michigan’s version of Kmart/Walmart).
Because the hotel is so close, we reserved a block of rooms at a discounted group rate if you want to book a room at the discounted rate please call the hotel directly at 269-279-8888 and give them the Itinerary Number: 5136B58696274 for the Maya Jordan/Cardona Wedding Block, the discount and the hold on the rooms expires on October 17th. All the rooms are either 2 queen sized beds or 1 king, we have expressly and firmly requested non-smoking and have been told that they have complied with this request.
Americas Best Value Inn - 45 minutes from the wedding, 12 minutes from the South Bend Intl. airport. 425 N Dixie Way, South Bend, IN 46637-3313

If you're looking to do something unique and lovely, this old farmhouse sleeps 16+ people, and you can rent it cheaply for an entire weekend! It is being temporarily held for our wedding guests. Please note that Airb&b doesn't allow multiple payments, so you'll have to coordinate with whoever you decide to book this house with in terms of making sure that you are properly sent money from everyone chipping in and sharing this house with you. Reach out to friends(on FB when we announced the "We're getting Married/Save the Date" it is only visible to folks who are invited, you can use that thread to find a large group to split this house with) and we also suggest using the room-share link below, though the FB thread may be quicker in terms of wrangling folks.

While we assume that most folks who are coming know enough people to suss out hotel/inn room sharing on your own, here is a form for folks to post interest in doing so if you need it - Roomshare
