Camp Tannadoonah
From the camp - "Camp Fire and Camp Tannadoonah take pride in our long-standing commitment to providing programs and services to all youth and families. Our programs are designed to reduce sexual, racial, religious, gender, and cultural stereotypes, and to foster positive interpersonal relationships. In Camp Fire, everyone is welcome."
Though this camp is nestled in the woods, the grounds are manicured and the paths are gravel and dirt, you won't be hiking through woods :)
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors(the reception will be indoors) but it is fall so bring layers, the walkways at the camp are gravel and parking is on grass - please bring sensible footwear, dinner and dancing will happen inside the dining hall so feel free to change into fancy shoes then.
You can wear whatever you want! We’ll be dressed up obviously but the only wardrobe guidelines we have for guests are that this is not a black-tie event, feel free to dress up, but you can be on the more casual side too if you want, and once again, bring layers and sensible shoes for at least the outdoors.
Lighting - The sun will be up when you arrive, but it will be dark by the time the reception is over. There is limited electrical lighting after dark on the campgrounds, only two street lamps and some flood lights on a few cabins. Though it is a wide straight path from the reception back to the parking fields, we suggest you use flashlights or phone lights to get back to your car. We will also have Rangers in our wedding party who will be happy to escort you.
Though it will be fall, perhaps bring some bug spray, with climate change it may still be warm enough that late in the season that some pesky bugs may still be buzzing around.
Here is a map of the camp so that you have your bearings when you arrive:
